March 21 is the United Nations-designated International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Canada was one of the first countries to support this initiative at the UN, and the federal government holds a video contest each year to mark the occasion.
This week’s question of the week: What are you doing to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination?
It could be something as simple as watching the “Racism: Stop it!” videos on the Government of Canada website, or having conversations about racism with your peers, or even participating in an anti-racism event in your community.
Let us know what you’re up to, and how you’re marking March 21.
