Richmond in 3D
“Richmond in 3D (Dialogue, Diversity and Drama)-The Legacy project” is an initiative funded by the Government of BC in partnership with Richmond Multicultural Community Services. The R in 3D youth troupe uses storytelling, drama and dialogue to inspire other youth to take initiative to welcome and integrate diversity in the Richmond community. These young volunteers facilitate workshops at public schools and community events, opening dialogue spaces to discuss issues such as diversity, anti-racism, multiculturalism and bullying as they model leadership and compassionate communication skills.
Richmond in 3D works with schools, community groups, and service organizations to support dialogue and positive action on these issues of diversity. The response from students and youth to R in 3D anti-bullying workshops has been particularly phenomenal. Because this method of engagement involves both dialogue and interaction, youth are actively involved in the workshops, inspired to have their voices heard and spurred on to take positive action in their schools and community.
