Meet the Youth Troupe
Augustine’s parents are from Hong Kong and he speaks Mandarin and English. He’s involved with the Urban Dance Company, UBC Dance School and Unlimited Dance Club, and also volunteers with the CMCC Church Youth. His hobbies include dancing and computer gaming.

Justin Jianing Wang
Justin was born in Hangzhou, China. He is a member of the Student Council at JN Burnett High School and also is a member of two game-development teams.
“People come to us and tell us their feelings and stories, and we play them back to help them see them in a different light.”
Harper’s background is Métis and he speaks English. In addition to being a part of Richmond in 3D, Harper writes a music blog (www.gobacktotheworld.tumblr.com), plays guitar, and reads all kinds of books!

Katerina’s parents are from Russia and Georgia, and she speaks Russian, French, and English. She has volunteered with the Richmond Animal Protection Society, McRobert’s Wood Club, Drama Club, Student Council, and has also tutored children aged 4 – 9. Her hobbies including woodworking and Ukrainian dancing.

Kevin’s parents are from Shanghai, China, and he speaks English and Mandarin. He has volunteered with the Richmond Centre for Disability and also helps youth at his High School. His hobbies include watching videos and volunteering wherever he can.

Kevin Chun Keung Mak
Kevin was born in China. He studies Human Kinetics at UBC and works as a math tutor. His aim is to become a doctor or physiotherapist. He volunteers at the Richmond Centre for Disability.

Adam speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Spanish, and his parents are from mainland China. He’s volunteered taking care of children at elementary school as a reading buddy and on sports day, and has also been involved with the Drama Club (main stage). He enjoys basketball, volleyball, badminton, drama, video games, shopping, food and movies.

Raphael John C. Diangkinay
Raphael speaks English and Tagalog and his parents are from the Philippines. He has volunteered with Youth in Action and was a part of the J. N. Burnett Reach for the Top team. He enjoys writing, acting, and drawing.

Moses’ parents are from the Philippines, and he speaks English. He enjoys writing and listening to music, is a part of the J. N. Burnett Reach for the Top team, and volunteers with Youth in Action.

Larisse speaks English, Tagalog – and is learning Japanese – and her parents are from the Philippines. She enjoys drawing, writing comics, baking, and cooking!

Ken Yiu Fung Cho
Ken was born in Hong Kong. He volunteers at the Richmond Centre for Disability and is a member of the Political Science Students Association of UBC, the Chinese Collegiate Society, and the Rotaract Club.
“I believe that laughter is the true way to connect with people. I would like to impact more youth and help them see that there is a way to how we see things.”
Avash’s parents are from Bangladesh and he speaks English, Bengali, and Spanish. His hobbies include procrastinating, being sad, and reading.

Ruby’s parents are from Hong Kong, and she speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and French. She volunteers with SIFE (Spend it Right) UBC, the UBC Reading Week Project, the CMCC Choir, and the WCCCLC promotion team. Her hobbies include music, playing badminton, guitar, and the piano.
