RICHMOND’S INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES

THE INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES PROGRAM (ICP)

The Inclusive Communities Program seeks to offer opportunities for newcomers, Richmond residents, businesses, service organizations, and local government to dialogue, interact and learn about the value of diversity and inclusion.

We aim to make Richmond an inclusive, racism-free city, where the needs of all are understood, valued, and met through coordinated settlement services, welcoming spaces, and intercultural harmony.

WHAT THE ICP DOES

• Anti- Racism Training Cross-Cultural Conflict Resolution and Power & Privilege training for community organizations, businesses, government.

• Facilitating public dialogue on community inclusion to build community, create safe spaces for storytelling, cultural expression, and connection.

• Coordinating community responses to racism in Richmond through the leadership of a coalition of stakeholders and community partners, through membership of Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network Responding to racism and hate.

• Coordinating and planning strategies to build inclusive communities through the Richmond Community Collaboration Table (CCT).
