About CCT

Updated: June 1st 2018

The Community Collaboration Table (CCT) is a nationwide initiative of Citizen and Immigration Canada (CIC) – formally known as the Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) – which aims to complement existing immigrant integration programs through community collaboration. Richmond’s CCT hopes to create locally-driven strategies for an inclusive Richmond. The CCT is an opportunity for partners to participate in long-term planning to create inclusive environments, both for the community of Richmond and for individual businesses and service organizations.

The Richmond Community Collaboration Table (CCT) wishes to make Richmond an inclusive city where the needs of all are understood, valued, and met through coordinated settlement services, welcoming spaces, and intercultural harmony.

We have connected with almost 40 organizations and businesses in Richmond to create a strategy geared towards Richmond’s specific goals. We have conducted surveys and focus groups throughout the city. The result of all this work, The Richmond Immigrant Settlement Strategy and Implementation Plan 2016-2019 can be found here.

To implement The Richmond Immigrant Settlement Strategy, the Richmond CCT has created annual CCT work programs and subcommittees for employment, settlement services, community experience, and daily living support. The 2018 CCT Work program can be found here.

To get involved in the work of the CCT or join a subcommittee, please contact alan@rmcs.bc.ca. We looking for individuals and community members of all backgrounds and skill levels to help us in our work. We look forward to getting to know you.
